About the Founder

Dylan Healy is a multidisciplinary artist, record producer, curator, community leader and educator based in West Hartford, Connecticut. With a deep commitment to fostering artistic and community growth, Dylan has dedicated his career to creating spaces and opportunities for emerging talent and supporting community initiatives.

As a composer and multi-instrumentalist, Dylan releases music and tours with his six-piece band Stadia, while frequently collaborating with a variety of artists and projects, including Figurine, Carey and Changeling. He runs The Lodge, a recording studio and performance space in West Hartford, CT where he produces records and hosts nights of music, poetry readings and film screenings.

Since founding Funnybone Records in 2017, Dylan has cultivated a diverse, international roster of artists that collectively defy genre. Over the past 10 years, he has played a pivotal role in elevating Connecticut’s arts communities, providing musicians with essential resources, funding, and opportunities to thrive. His label has become known for its inclusivity and commitment to innovative talent.

Dylan has managed 150+ music releases and has produced as many concerts and community events, working with artists to help them secure radio play, licensing deals, press coverage, strategic promotional placements, and fair pay. His services extend beyond typical industry support—he offers full-service artist development, including merchandise manufacturing, tour management, and press campaigns.

Dylan is the creator of Import Sky, a community arts and literature journal launched during the 2020 pandemic to premiere work by artists and writers navigating through the suddenly changed world. Since 2018, Dylan has also organized annual “Funnybone & Friends” benefit albums to raise funds for nonprofits focused on community healing, such as Hartford Communities That Care and the National Queer and Trans Therapists of Color Network. These projects exemplifies his commitment to nurturing both local and global artistic communities through vision and the spirit of collaboration.

As a promoter and curator, Dylan fosters spaces for people of all ages to gather and experience live performances and installations, striving to establish West Hartford as a hub for premiering the arts. He has brought world-renowned artists to his city’s stages, including Lau Noah and Alita Moses (who have both toured with Jacob Collier), Mal DevisaNatalie Jane Hilland many more. He is frequently tapped by outside organizations to book concert bills, festival lineups and community events across Connecticut. His work has led to partnerships with the venue Wherehouse (Hartford, CT), scores of releases with Blind Moose Studios (Northampton, MA), as well as collaborations with media outlets like CT Public and the Greater Hartford Arts Council.

Most recently, he teamed up with Red Hot to produce a listening room for their acclaimed compilation, TRANSA. Notably, in 2023 Dylan was selected to join the Mass MoCAs Assets for Artists cohort, a testament to his leadership in the arts and his ability to help artists develop their artistic practices.

Dylan continues to demonstrate an unparalleled ability to guide artists through every stage of their creative journey— from conception to debut. His keen eye for both sound and visual design has earned him a reputation as a sought-after resource, and his work continues to inspire and empower emerging talent.

Beyond his work in the arts, Dylan is a passionate educator. In his Alternative Education Classroom he integrates a growth mindset and creative mentorship to foster a safe space for students facing academic challenges.
